About SEG |
Satellite Engineering Group (SEG) was founded in 1980 and exists today as a global communications company whose primary focus is supplying goods and services to the CATV, Broadcast and Satellite markets. Based in Olathe, Kansas (a suburb of Kansas City, MO) and having sub-offices in six additional cities, our team of industry professionals are equipped to handle a wide variety of communication challenges and come up with the proper solution.
SEG represents many of the key technology providers of products and services to the industries we are involved with. These partners include but are not limited to the following: Motorola, Cisco Systems/Scientific Atlanta, Norsat International, Tandberg Television, Comtech EF Data, Wegener Communications, Quintech, K Tech Telecom, Adtec Digital, Blonder Tongue, RL Drake, General Dynamics Satcom Technology (formerly Prodelin Satelilte Antenna), Vertex RSI, Seavey Engineering, Microwave Filter, Comtech Antenna plus many others.
In addition to providing a wide variety of products, SEG has a network of over 550 sub-contractors strategically based throughout North America, the Caribbean Islands and select parts of Mexico that we employ for large scale communication rollouts, service calls, upgrades and maintenance services. These sub-contractors are controlled by a team of five individuals located in our Olathe, KS office that coordinate time sensitive solutions to hundreds of customers that we work with on an ongoing basis. With state of the art software and an infrastructure that allows for real time reporting we are a one-stop source for companies looking for an organization that can be a source for their communications needs.
On January 1st, 2009 SEG became part of a larger entity when it was acquired by TVC Communications of Annville, PA. With the marriage of these two organizations SEG now has a much larger footprint into products and services which enhances the strong presence it already had in the communications marketplace. |
